HONESTLY, where does the time go?!

I have set some intentional goals for 2020. So, by the end of the year, I will be a better version of who and where God wants me to be in my life and also for myself. On last week's blog I mentioned 3 goals I have. One of them being, reading at least 5 books. I started my first book, it's called Girl, Stop Apologizing. I read her other book, Girl, Wash Your Face, at the end of 2019. I'm not too far in, but so far I am enjoying this book.
Goals we have for ourselves are important and if you write them down, more often than not, they are more likely to come true. Goals to me have a more meaningful purpose in life than a "resolution" unless you are resolving an issue.
One thing, I really wanted to do last year was make a vision board and I didn't do it. This year, I successfully accomplished it with my friend, Katie. I went to her place with the supplies and we made our vision/dream/goal boards for 2020. Making our boards together made it personable and made us talk out our goals for accountability. I feel that it's a good reminder every morning and night to remind yourself about what goals you set for the year.
My list of books I plan to read this year are Girl, Stop Apologizing by Rachel Hollis; I Got This To Gold and Beyond by Laurie Hernandez; Grit and Grace by Tim McGraw; Talking As Fast As I Can by Lauren Graham; and Scrappy little nobody by Anna Kendrick. If I read any others, I will be sure to let you know. Maybe update this list and also do a review of each book in a seperate blog post.
Reading books were never apart of what I wanted to do growing up. I didn't find books I liked to read until I was about 14 years old and then I was able to enjoy reading. Now, I have got a whole list of books I want to read. It does take me time though to read and I never want to rush through just to read more books. It's nice to enjoy the book as I'm reading it and gain some knowledge form them.
I am also working on peeling back more layers to my true self and who I was created to be. Being the authentic me (you) all the time. It is of course way easier said than done. Making sure I am taking what is meant for me and leaving what is not. Working hard toward my goals I put on that board so they come true in the right time!
Hopefully, your 2020 is off to an amazing start and you've got some goals you'd like to accomplish this year. Write them down and let's get after them.
